It’s been a little while (one week in fact) since I last posted something up here, and I’ve not been super busy, but I have been out and about a little bit. A Twins game in which *SHOCKER* the Twins actually won, a kielbasa festival and Greek festival in the same day and then I partook of a little craft project for myself. Here are the results.
The Twins played the Chicago White Sox and actually pulled out a win somehow. It was nice to see them win, but the best part about the new ballpark is still the skyline view. The weather was particularly perfect, and I took some pictures of the fading light and the moon rising above Minneapolis.
As for the kielbasa festival and Greek festivals, I went to them for different reasons. The kielbasa fest was attended for the nice ceramic mug from Kramarczuks and the free beer that came with said mug, and the Greek fest was attended for the food. The gyros that were served, along with the fries, at the Greek fest were really great. I mean, with a whole pig on a spit, how could it not be good?
Then, I took it upon myself to do a little craft project. Since I had a bunch of film negatives lying around, I figured there must be something I could do with them. Lo and behold, a site called poopscape.comhad the answer for me! I bought a lamp at IKEA and then put the negatives around it so when it lights up, it shows the pictures through it. For this one I used old negatives from trips I had been on. The first row is Alaska, the second and third is Paris, then is Italy, London and some miscellaneous stuff like skiing trips. Overall, I would have to deem the whole thing a success. It looks really great at night and brings up lots of great memories from trips! Highly recommended and really easy if you happen to have film negatives just lying around and don’t know what to do with them.
